How to tell if any Documents you use are shared from the Dixie Google Workspace.
Go to google.com, sign in with your [email protected] account, and follow the full sign-in process.
This should be where you access all current and future documents.
If this is not the case, refer to this article:
Am I still using the Dixie Google Workspace?
Access Google Drive
Once signed in, click on the waffle menu at the top right corner.
Select Drive
Check Shared Files
Within Google Drive, select "Shared with me" in the menu on the left.
This will list all files that other people have shared with you.
To check who shared the file with you, ensure the layout setting at the top right is set to List and not Grid
You will now be able to see all of your files with the column "Shared by."
This column shows the user who shared the file.
Here is an example of what we want to see:
These files are shared by someone with the "@utahtech.edu" email, letting us know that it was shared from the Utah Tech Google Workspace
Here is an example of what we don't want:
This file has been shared by someone with the "@dmail.dixie.edu" email, letting us know that it was Shared from the Dixie Google Workspace.
What do I do?
If the file is from your [email protected], [email protected], or from a Dixie account with your name, refer to these articles to move that to a safe space:
Current students and employees can transfer their Dixie Google files to Utah Tech Google Services: Transfer Google content to Utah Tech

Current students and employees can transfer Dixie Shared Drives to Utah Tech Shared Drives: Migrate Shared Drives
Former students and employees should download their data: Download your Google data with Google Takeout
If the file is from someone else's [email protected], [email protected], or any form of Dixie account, please inform that user, as they will need to follow the links above.
If the user is no longer here at the university, and cannot be contacted.
Please submit a ticket and we will work with you on recovering that file.
